Fight between two old devices that are worth to buy LG Q6 and Xiaomi Redmi Y1

With technology getting advancing day by day, is it really necessary to use it or to own it? It all depends on what work you wanted to do and how fast it has to be done. So, if the work that you want to do is very little like taking pictures, reading documents and for entertainment purposes then you dont have to spend your budget on those expensive smartphones. For this work a smartphone of range 10k would do it by even saving your budget.
This is where LG G6 and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 kick in. Though they are little old, they are worth buying because of some unique feature they come with. So with any further discusison lets get in the comparision of these devices.

Design

With increasing demand in smartphones it is necessary to decrease the device size by increasing the display size and the thickness and the material that is being used. All these features are most important because this is what we look first when we see a smartphone. So it is very important to focus on design first. Both the deivces comes with aluminium body. Even the cameras are positioned correctly. Speakers in LG Q6 would be a little bit dissapointment because it is situated on the rear side at the bottom and it could get covered up easily when kept on a table. But this is not the case in Xiaomi Redmi Y1 because the speakers are located at the bottom. Even this could get covered easily when gaming or watching any videos while u hold it in your hands.
But the size of LG Q6 is smaller than Redmi Y1 even though both the devices are equiped with 5.5" display. But the LG Q6 lacks a fingerprint scanner. If it is not a big concern to you then LG Q6 won't be a bad choice.

Display

These days using a device without infinity display seems odd. Therefore Redmi Y1 would seem a little bit old. But you get the same display size on both the devices. Even the resolution and aspect ratio of Redmi Y1 is not as good as LG Q6. LG G6 comes with 1080x2160 pixels with 18:9 aspect ratio and Redmi Y1 comes with 720x1280 pixels with 16:9 aspect ratio. This clearly makes LG Q6 the winner. Not only the resolution and aspect ratio makes the LG Q6 the winner but the PPI density is also more in LG Q6 i.e., 442ppi where as 267ppi on Redmi Y1 getting sharper view.

Performance

Performance wise these two devices perform pretty well at their price range. Both the devices are equiped with Snapdragon 435 processor paired with 3GB ram. They even have the same graphic processor i.e., Adreno 505. But having the same hardware under the hood doesnt mean that they load the apps at the same time and load images at the same time. Because LG Q6 has better resolution and with aspect ratio 18:9 it becomes difficult to render the images and video. Hence utilizing more battery. Even the Internal storage of both the devices is 32GB and its more than enough if its for entertainment(playing games, watching videos and listening to the music) and for reading purpose. Because it consumes more battery power its has been equiped with 300mAh battery.

Camera

LG is best known for its camera that comes with its smartphones. Where as Xiaomi is know for its more features and less price. So is Xiaomi's Redmi Y1 camera better than LG Q6 or not, Let's find out.
LG Q6 and Redmi Y1 comes with 13MP with 'f/2.2'. Though both these devices have the same megapixels LG Q6 provides a square camera more that is 1:1 aspect ratio that is used on most of the social media sites. Based on the pictures took by GSMARENA it is clear that the photos shot from LG Q6 are bit sharper when compared to Redmi Y1. You could compare the camera quality here. Thought the video recording is far better in LG Q6 than in Redmi Y1.
When it comes to front facing camera clearly the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is the winner because it comes with 16MP front camera with f/2.0 where as LG Q6 comes with 5MP front camera with f/2.2 apperture. Apart from getting clear and sharper images in Redmi Y1 using front camera you could also take pictures in low light condition because of the f/2.0 apperture in Redmi Y1.
